About Jaguar Legacy Center
Jaguar Legacy Center is a Jacksonville-based youth development organization committed to preparing young people for college, careers, and life.
Through our signature Pathway to Legacy program, we provide young people with access to workforce development, workplace etiquette, career exposure, leadership development, real-life skills, entrepreneurship, and real-world experiences that help them recognize their potential and prepare for their future.
But our work goes beyond teaching skills.
We create exposure. We create connections. We create opportunities.
Because when young people can see what's possible, experience new opportunities, and develop the skills to pursue them, they can begin building a legacy of their own.
Our Story
Founder Tellisa Robinson understands firsthand how a lack of exposure, guidance, and access to positive opportunities can influence the decisions a young person makes. Her journey ultimately became the foundation for a larger purpose: helping young people see possibilities for their lives before circumstances make those decisions for them.
That purpose became Jaguar Legacy Center.
Today, JLC works to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity by bringing career exposure, workforce preparation, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and practical life skills directly to young people.
We want youth to see the opportunities that exist, understand what it takes to reach them, and have people in their corner helping them get there.
Why Our Work Matters
At Jaguar Legacy Center, we believe preparing youth for the future requires more than telling them to make good choices. They need exposure, practical skills, guidance, and real-world experiences that help them understand what is possible and how to get there.
Through Pathway to Legacy, we help young people develop workplace etiquette, leadership, real-life skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset while exposing them to careers, professionals, and opportunities beyond what they may see every day.
Our goal is not simply to prepare youth for their first job. We are helping them build the confidence, knowledge, skills, and vision to make informed decisions about their future.
Because when young people are exposed to opportunity, prepared for opportunity, and connected to opportunity, they are better positioned to create a legacy of their own.

A Legacy Built From Lived Experience
Meet Our Founder
Tellisa Robertson knows firsthand what it means to grow up with limited resources and limited exposure to opportunity.
Raised in Jacksonville in a single-parent household, she experienced poverty and times when even basic necessities were hard to come by. As she got older, the challenges around her influenced some of the choices she made—and those choices came with consequences that cost her valuable years of her life.
With time came perspective.
Talisa realized that many young people are being asked to make life-changing decisions before they have been exposed to enough possibilities to know what their options really are. She couldn't change the decisions she made in her own youth, but she could use what she learned to help another young person make a different choice.
That became the purpose behind Jaguar Legacy Center.
She created JLC to give young people what she believes can make a difference early: exposure, preparation, practical skills, and access to opportunity. Through Pathway to Legacy™, youth are introduced to careers, workforce development, leadership, entrepreneurship, workplace etiquette, and real-life skills that can help them make better-informed decisions about their future.
For Talisa, this work is personal.
She can't get back the time she lost—but she can use her experience to help young people understand the value of theirs.
